As a Registered Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in mental health, I bring both professional expertise and genuine care to our work together. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary (2007) and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria (2001). Additionally, I am committed to ongoing learning and have taken many post-graduate trainings, including training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focussed Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

I am dedicated to offering genuine and compassionate counselling that is tailored to your goals. I offer a holistic approach grounded in mind-body connection. I provide a safe space in which to explore your emotions and experiences, find ways to soothe emotional distress, build self-compassion and understanding, work through and heal from trauma, and thrive in your life, work, and relationships.

In my time to recharge and have fun, I love to spend time with my family, hike in the mountains, listen to audiobooks, garden, and go for bike rides. When the Calgary days are cold, there's nothing better than keeping warm by the fireplace and watching a good movie.

I have been surrounded by nurses and helping professionals in my personal life and professional life. I hold a special interest in working with helping professionals (nurses, healthcare workers, therapists, social service workers, first responders) to help them heal from on-the-job trauma (both direct and vicarious), burnout, compassion fatigue, work-life balance, and coping with the stress and strain of the helping professions.

"To be seen, to be understood, to be held in someone's mind and heart, and to know that we matter are the foundation stones for our well-being"
