About

My name is Marcia Love and I'd be honoured to meet with you and help you move forward towards the future you want and deserve. When you meet with me, you can expect to feel welcomed and safe. My approach can be best described as warm, accepting, empathic, and attuned.

I have always been passionate about helping people to heal from painful pasts and enhance well-being. I understand that unresolved trauma can show up in many ways- from deep sadness and sleepless nights to feeling numb, jittery, or angry. These feelings can make daily life a real struggle. But I firmly believe that healing is possible for everyone, and together we can work toward the joy and emotional freedom you deserve.

I practice from a holistic approach grounded in the wisdom and guidance of the body as it interweaves with our thoughts, emotions, experiences, and environment. I provide a safe space in which to explore your emotions and internal experiences, find ways to soothe distress, build self-compassion and understanding, work through and heal from past hurts, and build the type of life you wish for yourself.

As a Registered Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in mental health, I bring both professional expertise and genuine care to our work together. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary (2007) and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria (2001). Additionally, I am committed to ongoing learning and have taken many post-graduate trainings, including training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focussed Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

"To be seen, to be understood, to be held in someone's mind and heart, and to know that we matter are the foundation stones for our well-being"
